We construct, design, and sell ecological cookers, while we also conduct demonstrations of our products in order to educate all interested people. With the cooperative support of the CEDESOL Foundation, we teach participatory courses to our clients so that they can learn how the technology works, and in order to make a successful transition into their new daily habits

In Sobre La Roca's workshop, we construct all of our solar cookers and efficient wood-burning stoves with local and widely available materials. Our workshop technicians, Freddy Candia and Miguel Sanchez, also work in the design of new models of ecological cookers, like the upcoming fiberglass model and the institutional-sized woodstove. We are always designing new models of ecological cookers than can meet the needs of the people who need them better than those than currently exist. With the cooperation and help of the CEDESOL Foundation, and with their designs, Sobre La Roca constructs the new, more innovative, and more efficient devices in our workshop. We have employed these designs to create several new kinds of cookers, including satellite cookers, heat-retention ovens, and fiberglass solar cookers.

For everyone who buys an ecological cooking device, we offer them opportunities to get to know their new cookers and to learn how the technology works. We do this by letting them build their own cooker, with our assistance, in their communities. This option is more affordable than buying an already constructed cooker, and has the additional benefit of showing their new owners how the cookers' several components work together to allow the ecological cooker to work well.

When a community expresses interest to us that they wish to learn more about ecological cookers, we travel to them in every part of Bolivia to conduct a demonstration of our technology. In order to observe this demonstration, the whole community gathers together, and we bring the stoves where they are. Then we cook various types of the community members' favorite types of food using the ecological cookers. With an illustration of the cookers' utility, and with a tasty meal prepared without firewood or smoke, the observers can witness the benefits of ecological cooking technology and decide if it would be a helpful new part of their lives.
